Raise Awareness of Mental Health on Campus

When college students are struggling with stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues, the idea of seeking help can feel overwhelming. Give students, and those who support them, a safe and easy-to-use mental health resource that could make all the difference to overall student mental health. In partnership with the Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation, Gale has created Cameron’s Collection, a collection of eBooks, to help academic libraries privately support college student mental health with health and wellness information—including where to find professional help, mental health services, support groups for mental health issues, and counseling. Students who visited a counseling center reported anxiety, depression, relationship concern, and suicidal ideations. Be at the forefront of mental health issues prevention with Gale's resource.

Cameron’s Collection can promote awareness of student mental health and wellness issues on your campus and act as a starting point for dialogue and behavior modifications. The 15 eBook titles available span diverse topics, including suicide prevention and mental health, panic disorders, mindfulness and self-care, the psychology of socializing, deconstructing stigmas, stress and anxiety, the influence of race and culture, self-confidence, and more.

Available on Gale’s eBook platform, this student mental health resource offers academic libraries targeted health materials and guidance that college students can reference anytime, anywhere, and on any device. Students can save and download audio files onto their mobile devices with Readspeaker text-to-speech technology. This helps maintain their privacy and discretion on and off their campus while accessing this mental health resource. International and ESL students can access Cameron’s Collection and benefit from article and interface-level translation that offers nearly 40 languages options.
